In September 2023, I was in a place where I really thought I had to decide, either love or career. I had always wanted the full dream, house, kids, husband, and great career, but thought the reality was that I may never achieve all. So I decided, get a head start. I had been on a dating app with little to no luck or just creepy people seemed to frequent, so I said to myself, delete it and focus on what works and what's good- my family and my career.

As I log onto the site with intent to delete, I see a message. Hesitate to open it, I opened it ( I'm a bit nosey, of course I opened it!), and there he was!

This beautiful, chocolate, tall man, was in my messages. I thought to myself, is this a catfish? Am I being punked? Only to find that, I would soon learn that this man was my blessing in disguise and the love of my life.

It started with a "hello" and ended with an "Yes" and "I do".

Who knew that at that time when I was ready to delete it and forget about it, would lead to a chance encounter where I met the most genuine, level headed, kind, and patient man. Everywhere I lack or tip the scales, he levels out and balanced. Every time I am frustrated and want to yell for all to hear, he calms my soul and offers the most calming and honest advise.

We challenge each other, encourage each other, support each other, and most important we love each other.

This man love is the strongest thing I have ever felt, yet most comforting thing I have ever experienced.

There is no notion of toxicity, bad energy, or negativity, just good energy, a pure soul, and a genuine heart.

He isn't intimidated by me being a strong and intelligent woman, if anything he encourages me to do more and to be more and I in return work to be his peace, his support, and encourager.

The love we share can't truly be explained, but can be experienced in the way we are with each other.

We truly share everything, good, bad, indifferent, but most importantly, we trust and communicate in a way where its almost nature.
